Feb 27, 2017

No university offers? You can apply for an extra course nowUCAS Extra gives you the chance to apply for one more university course on top of the usual five until 4 July.

If you applied to university but all your applications were unsuccessful, or you declined all the offers you received, you can apply to another institution through UCAS Extra.

To apply, log in to UCAS Track and click 'Add an Extra choice'. Remember, you can only add one, so think carefully before making your decision. Find out more about UCAS Extra.

If you don’t get your UCAS Extra application in on time or manage to secure a place you want, don’t worry. There are several different options available. Firstly, you might want to consider trying to get a place through Clearing. Clearing is how universities and colleges fill any places left on their courses. Clearing this year opens from 5 July and closes in September.

If you don’t manage to secure a place you’d like through Clearing, then you may want to consider reapplying this autumn to start university or college next year. University or college applications for courses starting in 2018 open on 6 September. Alternatively, you may want to consider other career or education pathways. Find out more about your options if you didn’t get into university.
